Star Rachel Brosnahan broke the news on Instagram. Season 4 will premiere tomorrow with the first two episodes (two episode will be released every Friday for 4 weeks).
I think the show begins in the late 50s and is currently in the early 60s? And Lenny in the show has been a fairly tragic character, so they're probably heading that way if they ever make it that far, anyway.
I was just rewatching and the third season takes place in 1960. I don't think we're going to see Lenny die unless they do a huge time jump for the last season.
I could see it both ways, that because the show is so light and fluffy they'll just keep away from hitting the point where he dies. Or that they'll show it, and it will force Midge to sort of develop into a less happy-go-lucky character.
I think so. For a show this big and successful and it’s been announced so ahead of time. Another reason why I prefer streaming is that tv shows seem to end organically with the creator on board with it and therefore the narratives all make sense rather than dragging it out until the ratings go down and cancel it abruptly which was the way network tv used to do it.
I gave up after season 2. I generally liked it but felt it to be exhausting. Is it worth getting back into it? I want to support women-led shows but if this pandemic taught me anything (besides how many shitty people live around me), its to value my time more.
I was listening to an interview that they were going to go to London to film S5 but it got cancelled because of covid so I hope they get to go this last season or just somewhere fun with pretty outfits potential.
