EA announced a new game pack 'My Wedding Stories' to be released on February 17, the trailer and cover feature a lesbian couple, Camille and Dominique.

Apparently it’s super buggy. The sims is a toxic relationship for me at this point because of course I will be buying it.

Also, the Russian language cover art was released and it’s exactly the same expect there’s no couple. Just an empty aisle :/

How do you deal with updates with your cc? I have been playing vanilla forever bc I always get too anxious about having to go hunt down the item breaking my game or a new download link for outdated content

A lot of mods will send a pop-up in game to let you know it's outdated.

I stick to the same CC makers p much, follow them on tumblr, just in case. The only thing I can think of in recent memory that was a problem was that for a while, CC chairs didn't work, like, Sims wouldn't sit in them, but it's generally not a problem. Most of the time you'll get error messages and there's utilities like Sims4Studio that help a bit with inventory management.

They’re probably playing with a mod. There’s a few mods that allow teen pregnancy, escorting, drugs, etc. lol

It's a mod called Sugar Life lol. You can add Sugar Baby and Sugar Daddy/Mommy traits to Sims. And then your Sim can find Sugar Daddies/Mommies through a dating app and you'll be given a daily allowance by your Sugar Daddy/Mommy.

This is shitty and also exemplary of why you should not pay for this game T B Q H. EAs practices are trash and the profit motive informs every single disastrous choice they make. There are numerous torrents/hosted downloads available if you've got an itch to lose eighteen straight hours of your life playing this series.

every 8 months I lose a week of my life downloading a shitton of CC and then play marathon sessions until my eyeballs dry up. I'm hanging onto an old laptop I only use to play the Sims that sounds like it's about to launch into space with the fan going so hard the entire time I play. will I pay for this pack? absolutely not. will I ever stop playing the game? unlikely.

I do that for Sims 3 too; the games are... well, good might be too generous, but definitely absorbing. The series suffers from EA's business practices imo - every iteration is them trying to carve off more stuff from the previous generation to sell it back to you at a premium. It's a good life sim but I'm not about to be nickel and dimed to death because I want a cat or some swimwear or, god forbid, a TODDLER.
