I have a family member who is generally a reasonable human being and believes COVID is real, is vaxxed/boosted, but was a huge Joe Rogan fan back in the day. I haven't asked him his opinon recently because I don't want to know, lol.

I think in general his podcast has taken a nosedive in the last year or so. That's what I've heard from people. It used to be a more reasonable balanced perspective and now he's just gone off the deep end in conspiracy theories

I have a friend who grew up in the south and he literally credits joe rogan as the person who made him switch from conservative to liberal in high school lmao. He doesn’t listen to him anymore and is fully vaxxed and boosted and thinks he’s crazy now.

*deep heavy negro spiritual sigh*

This was a dumb move on his part. I feel like most of the general public forgot about his political leanings. He’s been so universally loved for so long. Him commenting this is gonna remind the people who already knew but forgot and alert the Gen Z’ers to his previous bullshit. Didn’t he speak at the RNC once?

Plus, praising the Saudi prince after having dinner with him at Murdoch’s house. After the purge had begun and MBS kidnapped his family and tortured them into giving him money and political power, but just before the mass arrests of women’s rights activists, and a few months before the guys detailed to kidnapping royals were reassigned to murder Khashoggi.

It’s been a while so I’m gonna look up all those incidents when I get a break from work to fully understand what you mean but oh my word…

Yeah, I wanted to be specific about the point in the Saudi purge they had that dinner bc it was a lot, and I would like to give the Rock the benefit of the doubt that he wouldn’t have done it after the bonesaws came out.

I, for one, did not see this coming.
As someone who's never heard of Joe Rogan before this mess, I wonder how deep their connection is for a properly famous person to voice their support.

I'm Canadian and never really knew how big Joe Rogan was before this pandemic. I always associated him with Fear Factor years and years ago. It's crazy to me that THAT guy is THIS guy. How did he build this platform?
