I had to rewind and pause and stare in confusion, trying to figure out what Yoko was eating in this scene. Apparently, it's taiyaki.

*snort* I still watch this!!!! 🤪

But I've seen some clips and liked one with little Heather McCartney

It's kinda cute that they're wearing the same outfit.

Honestly one of the best parts of this is seeing Paul love her. Like usually it's awkward to see someone transition into a family role but he just loves her and Linda so much like ... damn I'm salty about some things but he does seem so lovely to his circle. Except annoying George but I think he thought he could get away with it lol

i've never listened to all the albums, and i'm only familiar with their number one hits. anything i know about the beatles is through gossip osmosis throughout the years and that one high school friend who was a 90's baby hippie.

But what i concluded is that while McCartney and Lennon were terrifyingly genius, together and solo, Ringo Starr is a brilliant musician in his own right and doesn't get enough credit for picking up and carrying any damn beat they threw at him. like it was nothing, just up and off.

For sure! I think out of all of them Ringo was the one who didn't feel the need to intercede, but watching George and Ringo work on Octopus' Garden kind of shows how much work the two of them put in and did without Paul and John. Like when you think about the hits, that, Something and Here Comes The Sun are up there and that's the two of them dicking around with their two (George) and one (Ringo) allotted song per album.

Haughty is a perfect word for how Paul was. Idk I think he was just so focused on keeping them together that it clouded the truth of the Beatles not lasting as long as he wanted it to. I will allow it for the hours of McBeardy we got, like the hottest he ever was (to me)

Also, after Brian’s death, I think their involvement in all the business of their work wrecked havoc on their relationships (which was like thee foundation of the band)

Also, even tho we all agree that George got the looks down, Ringo also had some great fits that I think aren’t as noticed. He also grounds the rest of the band in a way that was needed at that time, tbh. Or he was just like a solid dude the others could turn to

There's a clip where they (Linda and the director) talk about how they most relaxed around Ringo

I haven’t watched, only seen some clips but it’s clear that Peter Jackson has an immense talent in restoring footage. Between this and the world war 1 documentary he did I hope he keeps at it!

The colors he used were so rich and vibrant and the way he cuts footage to make a story without comment is amazing!!

It makes it feel like this happened yesterday instead of 1969
