Summary:
  • In 2016, a recent college graduate (age 23) met the mystery movie star actor (age 35) when she was an intern on the theater production of a musical. The producer/celebrity composer was her mentor.
  • He immediately started heavily flirting with her, inviting her to lunch, touching her inappropriately at work, following her around, and texting her at odd hours. She went to his apartment a few times.
  • Mystery actor has an "almost equally famous" sister who once demanded he reciprocate oral sex on his partners after hearing him brag about receiving. The movie star actor told her this story the first day they met.
  • The president of the theater encouraged a relationship (after the production finished) but warned that the actor had a reputation. The mentor kept pairing them up together at work.
  • She was constantly feeling uncomfortable, stressed, and confused by her interactions with him, but was also anxious when he didn't text for a day and felt flattered by the attention. Everyone else in her life was excited for her.
  • The movie star actor is described by her mentor as an insecure wreck.
  • The director told her: "Between you, me and your mentor, we’re getting this performance out of him."
  • By the tenth day of their acquaintance, he was kissing her aggressively. He left for a month to film a movie and texted her intermittently throughout.
  • When he got back, they met at his apartment. He kissed her aggressively again, removed her shirt, and eventually her bra. She was sexually inexperienced and embarrassed about it but didn't tell him about her history initially. She told him they couldn't have sex and he was irritated, so she gave him a blow job.
  • It was only then he seemed to notice that there was a big age difference, she might be sexually inexperienced, and he somehow may have taken advantage. She apologized to him.
  • He ghosted her for a few months. The show moved to Broadway but she wasn't asked to join her even though her mentor was still producing it (with the movie star actor). Her father suggested the actor may have blocked her from working on the production.
  • She developed an eating disorder and obsessed about him for months.
  • He texted again and invited her to the show and said they'd see each other again, then he ghosted her again.
  • A couple months later, she had tea with an acquaintance who knew the movie star's publicist. This person spilled:  "Apparently, he falls in love with these young interns and PAs on sight, pursues them obsessively, and then has some sort of freak out a month in and disappears."
  • #MeToo happened and she realized she was a commodity offered up to help with his stress and this was a well-choreographed dance for the actor, with an assist from his enablers.
Other clues:
  • The NY Times critic (Ben Brantley) raved the production and the actor's performance.
  • She describes a "Gala" opening followed by two additional days of performances (Sunday in the Park with George was performed in a concert version as part of New York City's Center's Gala from October 24-26, 2016).
  • The musical featured actresses wearing flowered hats.
  • The movie star has "cerulean blue eyes" and owns a dog with black fur.
  • Mentions he left for a month to film in Oklahoma (late 2016).  Wildlife was filmed partially in Oklahoma and premiered at Sundance in January 2018.
