Even in our toughest times, America always gets back up and builds a better future. We are stronger today than we were a year ago.

i just saw this on nbc and...why are you celebrating nothing?

I mean, y'all told us (and him) that he was the electable one because he would face the least opposition from Republicans. He was "realistic." He was "qualified." He "knew how government works." He "could get things passed." ...unlike us whiny, crybaby socialists.

What happened? https://t.co/NCqwLSz1TC

I haven't been terribly impressed with Biden so far, but my (and I imagine lots of other peoples') mental health has been LEAGUES better now that the other shithead isn't there anymore.

Biden's kind of a nothingburger.

Same. But I'm not complaining... I'll take a nothingburger over any Republican any day of the week.

America has certainly been proudly bellicose in even the relatively recent past. But the withdrawal of troops from the Middle East under the normally hawkish GOP and the fascist Trump, a decision popular with the majority of Americans regardless of party, even has the military hierarchy insisted it was a mistake, is the exact opposite of jingoism. Even the recent expected annexation of Ukraine by Russia is receiving a cautious response by America and there is almost no popular support for involving U.S. troops, let alone great notice of the event by the American public.
Where is the jingoism?
