Scream 5 was not bad at all and better than the 5th entry in other slasher franchises. But I was a bit disappointed. I hate this trend where they do these “reboots” and bring back legacy characters yet the film repeats wayyyyyy too many beats from the original.

I agree. The movie has made fun of itself plenty of times already so doing it again was kind of weird. It was tied too much to the original cast.

I don't think the film was helped by the fact that the premise was basically just Scream 4 again in terms of it being about remakes and reboots, but I will say that I liked that unlike Scream 4 we actually spent time with the new younger cast and the film didn't feel completely about Sidney and co again.

Watch all of them. 1, 2 and 5 are excellent. 3 and 4 are not as great but still good and very fun to watch.

Kristen looks so comfortable in that interview, it’s really nice to see. It’s the first one I was able to watch without cringing. 😂
