Succession tricked me into:

- Thinking Kendal is hot and sweet
- Rooting for white privileges rich kids

So drop your legal info OP, I'm ready to sue

Wait, WHO SAID KENDALL IS HOT AND SWEET?!

The only things Succession has made me root for is the FCC shutting down propaganda faux news networks and the IRS raising the marginal tax rate on the rich up to like 95 percent! The little Roy children will have more than enough left over for a lifetime of therapy.

I'm SICK that I thought Roman was so endearing comforting his brother on the ground in the last episode or when Kendall was breaking down about being involved with that waiter's death.

IA people are burnt out on conspiracies, being surrounded by people who believe in them has made it less entertaining to watch in media.

After Wandavision, I’m done with reading into theories.

Hm I’d argue that succession did have a twist at the end of the last episode?

I think it's a twist in terms of the drama of it, but not like... Kendall's actually his uncle's son or Greg inherits everything!!-style twists.

i don't know if that's a twist, really. tom said it - logan never loses.

i don't think they're denying shows don't have twists anymore, but it's more like... the people that are overthinking it and trying to find explanations for what happened beyond what's right in front of them: that tom did it. that is what is show, it's straight forward, but some people insist on making it more than it is

I feel like this is true in theory, and yet you still have endless reddit debates about the secret twist coming up that never actually happens.

In that sense, I think shows like Lost sort of spoiled a generation of people who now expect that any good story must include some kind of final explanation/twist.

I read this as I watch Archive 81 which I feel is anything but straightforward and is your classic "mystery box" tv show.

How far are you? It's pretty great. I hope it gets a second season.

I'm on episode 7! I cannot believe I binged this shit all day but to be fair, it's my day off and a snow day, haha. Hoping to finish it tonight but I'm enjoying it so far. It does drag a bit and the timelines are confusing but I'm excited.

I did hear it ends on a cliffhanger so fingers crossed for a season two. They definitely put money into this because the production is pretty decent compared to Netflix's other shows.

Not me also binging this on a snow day. As an archivist I felt like I basically had to check it out lol and I'm digging it so far! Although why are both of the main characters "friends" the absolute worst? They both seem like reasonable people but their friends are horrid.
