I saw the new Scream last night. Hated it. Might need a second watch or something because apparently I ~missed the message~. I definitely felt like they sacrificed plot and story for the sake of making some kind of point and meh.

I’m ngl watching their Scream interviews was the first time I felt slightly iffy. They talked about themselves a lil too much and I wanted them to spend more time asking actual questions since it’s an interview about the movie not them. Felt like those people that name drop a lot.
Watched 5 last night and loved it. Watching the OG right now. Its fun/weird/sad to see how fashion/technology has evolved throughout the years.
While I love the new film, some things that bother me [Spoiler (click to open)]Deweys death was seen from space and after its revealed who killed him, I have a hard time believing that she was able to take so much damage and have enough energy to still overpower him.
What the fuck is the mom doing in England that she cant catch a red-eye after finding out that her daughter was almost murdered?
Should we get a 6th Scream, I really want them to introduce the gay trope (or lack thereof) into horror films and have them survive, say something witty about there being no gay tropes in horror. Something like that. LGTBQ+ are still largely unaccounted for in horror

we barely got to know the new teens before they half got butchered, and sam was truly not needed as a character (and an actress).
i'm gonna need them to make tara the lead in scream 6 (scr6am? because i'll need them to rectify not making the title be written as 5cream)
