I watched The Eyes of Tammy Faye and I liked it, but phew, Jessica Chastain reminded me so much of Caitriona Balfe it was uncanny at times.

I haven’t heard Tammy Faye laugh so maybe it was accurate, but the giggle Jessica kept doing when playing Tammy just took me right back to Jessica’s character in the help

Ok so I saw licorice pizza and I’m ???? About the last 3 minutes like I was rolling with the movie thinking it was an interesting if too slow at times look at a grown woman who was stunted and didn’t know how to move on from adolescence. But then the end? I was like wait why is this filmed like some kind of grand romantic moment? Were we supposed to be rooting for this couple? Really really strange choices made. I did really like Alana and Coopers acting tho, they did really well for being newcomers. And her wardrobe was so cute!

i think while the movie's general idea was creepy as hell it would've worked much better if they left out the final scene. it wasn't needed, the movie already implied how they felt about each other (again ick but the audience got it)

Yep I’m not generally opposed to a movie with that subject matter, honestly even if it ended with her going back to him(gag) I wouldn’t have necessarily cared cause it just a movie but it was the way it was shot, the swell of the music, the way her sisters encouraged it, the dreamy-ness of the final shot….made me be like ummm excuse me?? Lol

I'll laugh if PTA thought we were supposed to root for it. Overall I did enjoy the film.

I’ve seen Spencer, House of Gucci, Eyes of Tammy Faye, and five minutes of Boring the Riccardos and will never understand how Jessica Chastain is not in the lead for best actress. Also, same with Andrew Garfield for Tick Tick Boom. He’s incredible. Why do they want to award Will Smith NOW?

King Richard is Will's best in a long time tbf.

he's pretty great in king richard, his best in honestly ages. when he actually gives a fuck he gives a great performance and it shows. however i'm with you and i wouldn't be bummed if andrew did pull an upset because he's amazing

you should see the lost daughter because the chatter about olivia colman is definitely justified. the other three... yeah i don't think so.

i'm personally surprised frances mcdormand's not in the conversation. she was LEAGUES better in macbeth than fucking nomadland and she got the oscar for that. you know she's an awards darling so that's baffling

I think the fact that Frances just won is the main reason why she’s not being as recognized tbh (+ they campaigned her in supporting actress and that’s even more stacked than lead and overall favoring actresses that will be first nominees at the Oscars w/ ruth negga being the only of the frontrunners that has been nominated before)

Shang-Chi should win - that's a category I saw 5 of the 6 movies. Lol
