I hope she's not going to get flack for not acting like having a child is just the ultimate blessing from god but I think this is a really healthy outlook to have. So many people have children because it's the thing to do and that it needs to happen within a specific timeframe. It's okay to wait until you feel emotionally, physically, financially ready to have children and it's okay to realize that you will never be ready.

Couldn't agree more. I have one child and I love her endlessly and wouldn't change it for the world but I also recognise that I could have found the same amount of happiness (albeit in a very different form) without having children. It's not the be all and end all in happiness, it's just one path. I'm glad I took it but I equally understand why others don't and respect that entirely.

this is such a perfect mentality, I admire her both for having it and expressing it. I think I feel similarly.

I do too. Ive turned 30 and it’s been in the back of my mind but i just know i have way too much of my own childhood trauma to go through in therapy before i could ever be ready.

However im also paranoid bc of society pretty much telling woman their fertile body is dead by my age anyway. I know this isnt completely true but knowing my shit luck im prob infertile or something

I could have written this comment!! I'm 31 and know that I'm nowhere near ready to have a kid and not even 100% sure if I want to have one. but like you said, we're bombarded with messages that as women we're basically on borrowed time in all aspects once we turn 30. hearing that diane got pregnant in her 40s is honestly really comforting to me.

she just didn't want to have a baby with Pacey, she always sounds pretty resentful about that relationship

Well they are both with the people they adore now and likely aren't even thinking of each other anymore one way or the other.
The growth!

If she didn't want to have a kid with him, that's a good thing.

Too many people I know IRL have multiple kids with people they don't even like or can be civil towards. They're in committed relationships and have convinced themselves that it isn't that bad or the kids can't see the tension.

I wonder why tho
They were together for so long and they both ended up having kids with their respective parents

If you don't feel ready then don't do it just because the society, your parents, your partner pressure you to have a baby. it's better to feel comfortable with yourself and your environment.

I am 30 years old and never wanted kids and luckily apart from my ex gf, I didn't deal with any pressure. My sister is pregnant and I always thought I would be a cool aunt and now I can't wait to meet my niece
