Everyone has those bow shoes right now. Obviously if you see someone wearing something you like, get it, but I feel like social media allows for sheepish copying of others on another level and it bores me.

I think people have always put their own spin on past eras but a lot of people now are into recreating looks down to every single detail. I’m all for reinterpretation and inspiration but just rehashing old stuff or being a carbon copy of something is boring.
There’s way less excitement in fashion. Too homogeneous. Even in different style lanes it’s often “hot girl goth” “hot girl insta baddie” etc. Its like maybe the color palette changes but the style is exactly the same.
