I've been enjoying the reviews for this movie, since pretty much all of them rave about how extraordinary and talented the Maria/Anita/Bernardo/Riff actors are, and then say something to the effect of "Ansel Elgort is also in the film" lmao.

Rachel sounds lovely. Ansel sounds better than I expected, though I don’t love it. Honestly if he’s in the movie and is just there and isn’t actively ruining it, I think that’s a win for us

I know I'm in every one of these posts singing Beymer's praises, but there's just...no beating him. (And Jimmy Bryant, who provided Tony's singing voice, truly sounds angelic.) Beymer sold every word of the dialogue and the lyrics and performed his ass off while convincingly lip-synching. He's so believably ROMANTIC.

Just going to drop Something's Coming here so anyone who hasn't seen the original film can gaze on the beauty.
