Shawn and Gus were always my fav bromance. I'm finishing up Gilmore Girls and I'm on the A Year In The Life season.

This show is the greatest show to me for several reasons - the cast & crew, the fact I get literally every single reference ever made on the show, it’s like it’s made for people who are 35-40 in such a specific way. Old millennials. THE GUEST STARS. Also I used to be mad Emilio never made it when every other Breakfast Club kid did but fuck him, antivaxxer.

Also I desperately want to know what the fuck Kristy Swanson was like on set now lmao this is the last legitimate thing she ever did.

I love the fact that it seems more grounded in reality than so many other shows, especially about race. “Don’t be the only black lead on a cable show, Gus”

I’ve been doing another rewatch and literally the only joke I have noticed that I didn’t get? I still got cause I guessed, Mitchum Ice Blast in spelling bee, I didn’t know what it was and guessed it was deodorant lol.

Best episodes; Last Night Gus, Office Space, Close Encounters, American Duos, Shawn takes a shot, any of the despereaux episodes

I am forever thankful they had Gary Cole the hostage negotiator in the bank robbery episode bc he was introduced as Sgt Bosco the terrible hostage negotiator/cop/person in "Bob Day Afternoon," one of my favorite episodes, and I feel like it has to be related. Unless they're both in reference to something else and I'm just a doofus.
