After a couple of weekends of domination by the Eternals, the newest film in the Ghostbusters series looks poised to take the box office crown this weekend. King Richard will also be entering the arena, but the film’s simultaneous debut on HBO Max will likely minimize its box office take. And while House of Gucci has several sneak peek showings tonight, it does not get an official release until next week.
The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Six” - Paramount, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Studios, Universal, Columbia/Sony and Disney. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD.
