Ep 1 - Issa and Molly are kind of cool now, don't worry about it! Isn't Kelli funny?
Ep 2 - Issa is working on her business, yes. But she also might have beef with one of her clients
Ep 3 - Lawrence stuff that will be recapped to Issa in a later ep anyway zzzzzzz
Ep 4 - Nathan and Issa get together but the chances of them staying together are zero
Ep 5 preview - Molly's mom is sick!

The pacing is non existent in this season.

I mean, I think it's great that they're trying to give a backstory to each character before the show ends, but I don't care about Nathan like that. Give me a Kelly backstory instead.

I feel like too many things need to be covered this season. A 6th and final season would have been a better move to wrap everything up.

This is how I feel. They should be focusing on Issa, Molly, Tiffany and Kelly. I think the Lawrence episode was really well done actually but it could have been condensed so as not to be a stand alone episode that feels different from the series. And we absolutely don’t need a Nathan backstory now. It’s enough (for his fans) that they showed he’s healthy and doing well for himself. Him getting more screen time and background than characters we’ve followed since season one is too much.

IA about the Lawrence episode. I think he should have been written off in S2 after they broke up but so far that episode has been the best one of the season in terms of structure and flow. I don't like Lawrence lol but his motivation and fears and ignorance about being a parent were laid out well, same with Condola.

I was more into the Lawrence/Condola episode than last nights which is saying a lot. At least that was dramatic. It also just seemed deeper.

Last night just felt like straight filler episode. Molly and a guy we know she would never date. I wish they would have given Kelly more - why is she off alcohol. Yes she’s hilarious but there is clearly depth there too.

Nathan is not the guy for Issa and while I feel badly for him with his mental health struggles he also doesn’t help himself. He was being unsafe in his cousins house and never apologized or explained. You can’t just say you can’t change how people see you when you haven’t communicated with them at all about things.

Looks like next episode is a serious Molly episode. Hoping it’s better than last nights.

I think we've gotten into a really interesting wrinkle with Issa and her latent classism via Crenshawn. Like I got both of their sides with the fashion show but why did she not just own up to it and apologize? And then making fun of his background to his friends and the text to him? IIRC she grew up at least middle class and away from the realities his faced so she needs to check herself a bi.

Sigh, MTE. Issa and Nathan clearly have a lot of work to do on themselves. They should not be out here trying to date if communication is that difficult despite being friends for a couple years now.

that does not seem like an end-game relationship. maybe that's why issa said everyone's gonna hate the last half of season 2! anyway, you just of course root for a show to end on a high note, and I am doubting i'm going to get that feeling from what i've seen so far this season. that said, i've enjoyed it, I just don't approve lol.

I wish they’d put more focus on Issa, her friends and her career. Her choices in men we’ve seen all have baggage and it would be fine to end the series with her single but in a good place in her life. Wasting time on her chasing after Nathan who’s friends act like they are a decade younger than their age is just not it.
