I wonder if this will be one of those posts where ONTD gets weirdly pearl-clutchy about fic or other sexual content, which always surprises me, because my NOPEs are diametrically opposite to ONTD's. The word 'daddy' is 100% guaranteed to make my vagina instantly dry up and close for business, but ONTD loves it (not judging!), meanwhile, before the more serious allegations about Armie Hammer came out, people where joking about the 'kitten' part from the 'Plug it in for daddy' exchange and that 'kitten' is such a non-entity to me, I barely get why it was funny, it was the 'daddy' that made me recoil from the screen lol. I am so out of tune with ONTD when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I do get horrible second-hand embarrassement when people mention or send unsolicited non-PG stuff to actors and creators.

Using “daddy” in a sexy context has always been a dealbreaker. The mood would go from 100 to 0 if someone said that - not only does it remind me of when my kid was actually a kid, but my parents call each other “mom” and “dad” to this day and the last thing I need to think about in that moment is my father

The word is almost ruined for me in non-sexual contexts. I don't live in an English-speaking country, so I mostly only see it in media or online, but I remember looking at an instagram pic of someone with her actual father and text in two languages. The local one sounded very sweet and the English one had 'daddy' in it and I winced a bit.

very nice and refreshing to see a creator praise fans and fanworks rather than being weird about them, like far too heavily fans aren't the entire reason some people have careers.

I can't help thinking this is cute ❤️ I've written fanfic on and off since I was like 13 so I'm biased though lol. having said that I'd be so mortified if any of the people associated with the shows I write for found it lol
