This interview still makes me super uncomfortable. Fincher giving her permission to eat but eat very little and them repeatedly talking about how she should look anorexic or childlike.. it just seems really creepy and out of line.

Its gross but also very in line with rh book and I always hated that part. It was so weird it thought it might be a translation issue.

Then in the second book the author has her get a boob job because she’s so insecure about her small chest. It’s all very not great.

It always baffled me that people were so crazy about this book, it's such overrated trash.

“Look, we saw some amazing people. Scarlett Johansson was great. It was a great audition, I’m telling you. But the thing with Scarlett is, you can’t wait for her to take her clothes off.”

That’s a disgusting quote, jump off a cliff dude

I remember this. There was soooo much hype and then audiences were just like nah. There’s a lot to unpack in that section where they go to the restaurant. I hope Rooney has better relationship with food now but considering she still looks so thin…also I’m trying to think of another interview where the actress had the director actually there with her? Very strange.

Kristen Stewart too. Half of Hollywood auditioned for Salander.

I think Mia could have been good

Yeah, i was thinking Mia could've nailed the role too. Some people say they're both boring but Rooney and Mia have this ethereal vibe, it's intriguing.

I remember watching an interview they had with Charlie Rose.
She was saying she trusted Fincher so much and she'd do anything for him. It was kind of uncomfortable to watch, I think she had a crush on him.
Also, he was saying she "is one of those kids who don't complain a lot". When they were shooting the rape scene she was screaming for hours and hours, and she had bruises on her wrists from the handcuffs, and people were asking if she would like a break but she kept going.
No wonder Fincher liked her for the role.

I wanted to rewatch this recently, but that rape scene is always a no from me.

Yeah it such a good movie and was weirdly cathartic for me to watch at the time. But every time I think about that scene I’m like ‘nope’, it’s so much.

I’ve never watched that scene. Fast forward is your friend.
