I don't mind some cooking competitions, but the sob-story aspect is the worst part, and for some reason it sounds like this show wants to focus on that part?

his whole trajectory post SC has been super weird - he had a deal with ABC but nothing came of it and now he's moving to a Netflix deal. But tbh i feel like this is a good move; anything he writes or acts in is likely to get critisised because the expectations are so high so good to do something different i think.

agreed but the timing of SC ending and the pandemic... I have to believe he's preparing for bigger things

I always thought the ABC deal was a weird option; Netflix does seem a better fit. He's said a little while back that he's working on an animated show and a romcom. For a while, he was also working on the Schitt's Creek book. I guess the cooking show is just the first thing finally coming to fruition.

It’s boring but my fave brunch order is the standard American breakfast you can find on most menus

Scrambled eggs, toast, sausage, and some kind of potato (I like a good home fry)

I’m always tempted to order pancakes or something but usually regret when I do
