I really enjoyed this challenge as it produced better results than I've seen in the last few avant garde PR challenges. I liked the top three and would have liked any of them to win. I agree with Nina saying that some designers are just young and need some seasoning and I agree with that. I liked the colors and the basic design of the losers outfit; it's just that it needed a lot more attention to the detailing and structure and those are things you learn with time, or a good internship.

The top 3 and a few of the others definitely looked runway ready. I was surprised that such a cliche inspiration/challenge ended up producing so many good looks.

when she said that, I was so worried they'd send Bones home (based on past WTF-worthy PR auf choices)

I loved the winner's dress! I'm so happy they won! I felt kinda meh about [Spoiler (click to open)]Anna's dress, as half of it wasn't even on the dress. I thought [Spoiler (click to open)]Octavio's dress was horrible and it's been done.

I'm glad about the person who went home. [Spoiler (click to open)]You had so many chances Kenneth! I do disagree with most of the critique for [Spoiler (click to open)]Bones but maybe it did need more editing? [Spoiler (click to open)]Zayden's construction was awwwwwful but glad they stayed.

I never understand when the judges go crazy for a bubble dress. It's been done over and over and it's just so 80s to me.

Octavio won me over with the pocket, even though the design wasn't necessarily something totally new and exciting.

I actually liked what Katie came up with quite a lot, considering her asthetics weren't really made for the challenge she pulled it off for me. Liked that she got a shout out for it too.

I have had mixed feelings about Katie and her designs. On the one hand, it's nice to have a designer who embraces colors and print. I haaaaaate when there are designers who go on and on about how they only design in black or dark colors. On the other hand, I was afraid of her veering too far into circus costume territory.

But I ended up really liking what she made this week. I was glad she was one of the few who didn't go straight to red, black, or red with black. But that aside, I liked the design and that her interpretation of hauntingly chic wasn't super goth. If this is what she makes when she has to go outside of her comfort zone, then I think we could end up seeing some good stuff from her this season. Keep it up, Katie!

I always root for the designers that like all colours and go for prints, even though their style might not always be my thing.

I agree, when she was talking with Christian I didn't see sailor but like you circus director jacket with those black stripes. She took his critique really well and turned up something really fun. I'm sure carinval/circus haunting chic can be done too, but that is such a fine line with costume.

Yeah everyone going for black and red was so boring, when Christian listed other colours I was hoping someone would switch it up based on that but meh, no one was. I was surprised no one considered going more Victorian with whites and laces.

I always appreciate when a designer is able to take Tim or Christian's critiques and apply them without being pouty, whiny, or defensive. I know sometimes it comes down to personal preference (and there have been times when the judges ended up not liking the changes that the mentor encouraged), but I have agreed with a lot of Christian's suggestions, especially when he sees everyone choosing the same color at Mood and he flat out says, "EVERYONE IS PICKING THE SAME COLOR! DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT!"

I tend to root for designers who use colors and prints because it's such a nice change from the head to toe black outfits where you can't see any of the details.

Kenneth was in the bottom every week. I think it is fair he go home.

I liked a lot of the looks this week.

I agree. It's only the third week and he's been in the bottom that many times already. That means it's time to go. I feel like most competitive reality shows should have a three strikes and you're out rule because if you're consistently in the bottom, you shouldn't be sliding by week after week.

just finished now. hilarious that they gave zayden a ton of shit because his model couldn't walk in the red dress and then they praised chastity for the see through fan dress when her dang model couldn't walk either lol
