I did not expect the episode to end like that??? my sister who also watches with me did not believe me when I mentioned SPOILER: (I thought Jan was suspicious and might've stabbed herself ) I'm kinda sad too though, I wanted some happiness for Charles after his last relationship

It's a swerve of some kind because someone did leave Jan a note as well. Her suggestions during the group's meeting did seem so bad as to be deliberately leading them away, but she seemed to be leading them away from the Dimases, not her or Tim Kono specifically, so if Jan is involved, I think there is someone else involved on top of that.

I was thinking about the note but then what if it's because someone else knows she's involved in the death somehow, rather than because she's also a target of the same person?

Do we really believe they were lovers, or is it a red herring?

some theories I've seen so far are
[Spoiler (click to open)]- she's theo's mom and that this is why she was trying to deflect from the dimases in the last episode.
- tim dated the first chair girl and jan wanted to poison her instead but her plan went wrong

I’m confused about why she lied about being first chair.

Embarrassed about having a tonne of experience and being outshone by a young prodigy.

I was a bit underwhelmed about who “pushed” the girl off the balcony, but that episode was top notch.
There is something really great about the storytelling in this whole show….
