everyone seems to act like she was some crusader for fair pay in this lawsuit. but it always sounded to me like disney agreed to give her a cut of theater profits, the pandemic shut down theaters, so she didn't get that profit and sued them because she was pissed off and wanted money. No?

She allegedly tried to work with them but they refused to come to the table, but were happy to shittalk her to the press ("Sad and distressing").

This is a good video (it's not the entire 1.5 hours for the relevant info, only about 40 minutes) about it with the information we had at that time.

Well good that she got her money.

"“I am happy to have resolved our differences with Disney,” said Johansson in a statement released Thursday. ” I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done together over the years and have greatly enjoyed my creative relationship with the team. I look forward to continuing our collaboration in years to come.”

So the white woman got richer and Disney has to fullfil their obligations towards her but how is that suppose to help the little people at Marvel/Disney again? The way y'all tried to break your necks to spin this as some type of precedent for workers in completely different departments, rankings, contractual obligations, etc etc was really something, eh. Especially when so many of the Marvel people have been real quiet about the IATSE strike.

MMMM yes from my understanding a lot of people were insinuating that if she had to get a shitty treatment for Disney, and contractual and revenue changes because of COVID and the transition to online streaming, than imagine how all the non-actor/producer workers had it bad so her winning this claim could set a precedent for Disney to think twice and that those workers could cite this case for other contractual/work related disputes. The delusion was real and now we know with the IATSE strike that actors winning against studios doesn't mean shit for the rest of the crew. Bloop.
