i should get a profit cut at this point because this is the third post in a row i've mentioned this movie in, but: i watched silent night last weekend and i enjoyed it until the third act, where i felt like it lost its handle on the tone. [Spoiler (click to open)]plus i would have felt differently about the ending pre-covid given the "hah, scientists were all wrong! don't trust your governments!" twist. after the past few months, i couldn't help but find that exhausting (and underbaked tbh)

i watched stardust too, somehow only for the first time? it was so much fun and i wish historical fantasy romcom was a thriving genre right now

i'll go back and watch the fear street trilogy soon-ish now that we're closer to halloween

i'm about to enter spooky season where i basically only watch horror movies until halloween

any recos? i've already recently watched candyman (fine), malignant (i love mess), fear street trilogy (love), don't breathe 2 (bad), escape room 2 (dumb fun), the boy behind the door (good), a quiet place 2 (fine), till death (fun), the conjuring 3 (meh), the unholy (bad), seance (pretty bad), initiation (good), spiral: the saw one (bad)

did you watch "Superhost" yet? It's a shudder original. Pretty fun to watch. Has good reviews. Not amazing though. Worth at least one watch I would say ( ... )

The trailer for Saint-Narcisse took me on a ride! I don't know if I want to watch the movie and be disappointed 🤣

Re: I'm Your Man, finally a movie where it's a male robot and a female scientist. I've seen this dynamic in shojo but never in TV or movies. It's always female or femme coded sexbots

"When a young man who thought his mother was dead discovers that she may still be alive, he goes on a quest to find her. His journey takes him to a remote cabin in the woods where his mother lives in exile with a mysterious young woman." combined with that still is ..curious.
