The trend seems to have started all the way back in January 2021, when podcaster Justin McElroy uploaded a video with the audio and asked users to share their best interpretations

I barely remember that ad. the youths being obsessed with it is weird. but seeing that dude still being in character on tiktok is creepy

I wasn't convinced it was really them mostly bc the people who have had them as a professor have said that they don't love when people bring it up, and IIRC the post Jack made acknowledging the TikTok account doesn't explicitly confirm they run it (also, the video they did with Nev is weird, bc Nev is a skeeze).

Idk why, but as a teen I found this commercial very creepy.
And after just watching Nev's tiktok, I see this feeling has not changed.
Very displeased by this tbh.
