This is the first season of AHS I've ever watched and I'm liking it? Feels like a Stephen King adaptation.

Also I hope Macaulay Culkin becomes one of their regular players.

Ughhh I don't wanna speak too soon but it's been GOOD. Like, CONSISTENTLY good. AHS always goes off the rails a few episodes in, but chopping the season into two shorter stories looks like it might genuinely help the overall quality. For the first time I actually feel like everything in this story is gonna be wrapped up.

Ryan Murphy has good ideas... but he has zero idea how to edit, and sometimes (for me, at least) in horror less is more. I didn't think I'd like the split story between the season... but this first one is quite good.

The first part so far has been nice. Some minor inconsistencies and we might not get answers for some other things but less plot holes than usual.

She and that agent are absolutely terrible.

Horrible. I can let the agent go though bc my main beef with Alma is how she spoke about her mother. Like Doris is actually a good mother, which very rare in this series. All she did was love her daughter and want her to be happy. And Alma had the nerve to think low of her. Im pissed lol

I genuinely look forward to new episodes, which hasn’t happened since Coven. Other seasons have had good episodes (I’m not acknowledging the camp one last year) but this year has just been solid every week. I think having the caliber of actors taking on the all roles helps. The weakest link would be Leslie and Billie - and that’s not even an insult because this specific cast is so strong. And the writing is streamlined, there’s suspense. It’s like they remembered what the show was supposed to be like, not always just shock value.

That said, I am nervous for Kaia and the second half of this season.
