I was in fifth grade, I remember coming back from lunch and my teacher asked does anyone know what happen, and one person who went home for lunch said “the twin towers were attacked”

I was in 4th grade, we were supposed to be taking a math test but our teacher got a call from the office saying to turn on the TV, and we watched one of the towers collapse and then she turned the TV off again and was back on the phone. I remember not understanding that it was real, I thought she had put on a movie or something cause like wtf?

But I grew up in Sarasota, FL and Bush was there visiting at another elementary school so suddenly everyone’s parents were coming to get them cause they were worried our schools would get bombed trying to get to him. I was one of the last ones to get picked up in my class and it wasn’t until I got home that like really processed what was happening cause no one was explaining, there was just this panic.

I was in Physics class in another country. Remember running to the TV room to watch on the news and then saw the clip of the second plane going in and everyone was stunned!

I was in 10th grade, waking from school. The 2nd tower collapsed when I got there. We watched TV all day in school and everything including all tests were canceled

I found that interesting. I didn't know about the history behind the actual towers prior to this.
