Sabrina's song sounds like it was made for a coming of age teen movie trailer scene where 2 teens take a leap off of a waterfall or something. She needs to make better music.

I slept on Kacey and golden hour for a long time before I realized I kept going back and listening and really did love it. I don't know if this is a grower.

I'm rather whelmed with Kacey's album. I was expecting... idk, more? And at the same time it's all so sleepy and overproduced, like I loved how sparsely the vocoder was used on Golden Hour but here it's like every song has vocal effects or her vocals are buried under lots of synths. And I was really expecting more scathing, gut wrenching lyrics! Even when she went for cliches in the past she made them sound fresh (like in Butterflies) but idk, I don't feel like these are up to her usual clever turns of phrase and wit. I don't think anything could be Golden Hour but I was at least hoping for some rage, you know? But maybe it'll grow on me. I think it works a lot better as an album than songs individually. I didn't really like Simple Times from the video alone but thought it was okay in context. and the early 2000s sound, holy shit. Some of these songs sound like they were deep cuts from Dream.
