I don’t even really like the stage version of this to begin with but damn

I’ve never seen the stage version, only listened to the songs…and I don’t think I liked any of them. I don’t know why, but for some reason the way Ben Platt sings Waving Through a Window gives me second-hand embarrassment

I wasn't a fan. I hated the set design first and foremost -- all that black and then stupid projections -- and then I hated Evan and the plot. It has some catchy tunes but that's the only redeeming feature. And the big act 1 finale song which is so unbelievably earnest is based entirely on a lie which robs it of any meeting it might have had.
