It looks good. I started rewatching season 1 last night after watching a Dexter retrospective video. I don't think I can rewatch season 4 though, the stuff with Trinity is too viscerally horrible.

The bathtub scenes felt like watching a snuff film sometimes, it was disturbing.

They were so disturbing, John Lithgow's acting had this grounded realness that made them, like you said, feel like snuff films. Reminds me of the "bathtub kill" in Hostel 2--there were gorier kills in that film franchise, but that specific kill is acted so realistically, so helplessly by the victim character, that I can't stomach it.

They should've ended the show with season 4. The final scene is poetic irony.
