I was a child at the time of this so I legit know nothing about this. Extremely curious to check this out. I can’t even imagine how big this story was when it occurred

Same! And whenever I'd ask my parents, my dad was always like "You don't need to know about it!" which looking back.... i really didn't need to know what they were doing at 9 years old

It was huge! I was exploited right when 24 hour cable news was starting to happen and the internet. I've saw a doc mini series on it and from talking to my mom it was a big deal back then but seems like nothing in comparison to what was going to come with 9/11 and where we are now politically.

American Crime Story seems to get good buzz compared to Murphy's other stuff but hey who knows.

Crime story is usually pretty well done! Probably cause the ending is already written for him so he can’t fuck it up.

Yeah, it does look just like Pentagon City Mall. If they did film there, it's been a big couple of years for DC-area malls. First WW84 at Landmark, now this, lol.

i have to laugh at myself because all this time -- ALL THIS TIME -- i thought it was an american horror story thing, and the whole time i was watching the trailer i was like how does this real-life story tie in with being a horror story for the show? and then i finally read and re-read that it's for american CRIME story which is not american horror story.

omg i had the same revelation a while back. i thought it was all american horror story, and some were actually horror stories and some were more symbolic horror stories - like basically I would have interpreted this as Monica's personal horror story lmao so much interpreting and not enough reading
