I get being interested in the unspoken subtext when you're playing fictional characters, but with Alan Turing...that's kind of a huge part of his story? IDK, man. Looking forward to this movie, though.

He does have a point with actors perhaps being forced to disclose or explain their sexual identity when cast. If the actor is gay or bi or something else, they shouldn't be forced out of the closet if they're uncomfortable because of other people wanting clarification on casting.

The new film seemed interesting until I read he has a thing for his nephew. Nope. Apparently the book is also super rough with animal cruelty and other things and I got triggered just reading reviews.

I forgot how to do spoiler cuts but there’s two things a review I read mentioned, so if anyone doesn’t want to know, don’t keep reading:

Benedict’s character punches a horse and teaches his step nephew to kill rabbits.

Also Benedict has a full frontal nudity which is not animals cruelty but surely can be cruel to certain eyeballs.

Phil soon develops unexpected chemistry with Peter, his step-nephew. Peter is the stepson of Phil’s brother

No wonder the whites gave it a 4 minute standing ovation.
