i always wanted to watch breakfast at tiffany's but knowing abt the mickey rooney before watching makes me avoid it

Having grown up watching a lot of old movies, I feel like Mickey Rooney had pretty racist characters in multiple movies. Maybe we need a Mickey-Rooney-free edit for a lot of films.

One of the things I like about it is that he's presented as a visual dish just as much as any woman, which I don't think was that common then. And he's a gigolo! It's quite upfront! Aspects of it were quite daring for the time.

I’ll have to give this watch a later! I only saw this movie because I love Audrey but it’s just not that good. There’s some cool looks in it but like that’s it.

Although Moon River always makes me cry, I don’t even know why but even hearing an instrumental of it makes me all teary.

I didn't realized the movie was so different from the book, and now I'm wondering how I got an accurate idea of the book from the cultural stuff I learned about the movie.
