I listened to Greg’s interview with Nick Viall and it really gave a new perspective of why he unraveled like that. Plus he took ownership of his behavior and admitted he handled the breakup wrong and could understand why she was upset which was nice to hear. He clearly needs to heal from his dad’s death and was actually in therapy with someone he grew close to and that person got ill and died. I was shook! Wishing him healing. I don’t like Katie so meh but Blake seems sweet so good luck?
I only read the transcript on Reddit, but I feel like he would’ve greatly benefited if he had SEEN the season before AFTR. He definitely seemed more reflective and self aware on viall files than when he and Katie were reunited.
I'm pretty sure he said he watched it prior to ATFR, but didn't have any regrets/didn't take accountability for his actions until he watched it a second time and tried to see Katie's pov.
People are projecting way too much onto both of them. They both sucked at communicating and it was better to break up when they did because they never would have worked long term.
I think Katie sucks at communicating but I still maintain that he planned to self-eject all along. His entire argument boiled down to "if you can't say that you're choosing me right now then I'm out" which is bullshit when you're on this show. It definitely wasn't gaslighting but it was intentionally manipulative.
I think her and Blake make sense. Far more than her and Greg imo. I think she only liked Greg because he reminded her of an ex. I never saw a spark in their interactions.
