Wow, she really kept a low profile after the backlash on her being racist. Good luck to her baby.

i just got diagnosed with PCOS about six months ago and i've been having a hard time with it and i need to lose a ton of weight. thankfully i've gotten my acne under control with the right supplements but it hasn't been easy.

i don't want to have kids but i just turned 30 and i know it'll likely be difficult for me to conceive in the future if i ever change my mind.

My doctor put me on Spirolactone for it, and it helps. I'm also on Metformin for T2 diabetes, and the combo of those two meds is helping me a ton.

that's great to hear! i was given both spiro and metformin as treatment options. do you have any of the digestive issues with metformin? i got nervous about that so i've been taking ovasitol instead and it's helped a lot.

You mean a lot of pooping, right? Yeah. Not terrible though. I eventually got used to it and now I poop like a normal person again!

PCOS is the worst!

I had an emergency c-section with my second child and my mother-in-law’s friend shamed me hard. She said if I was her daughter-in-law she’d never allow me to have one. It was one of the strangest conversations of my life

she'd never allow it, how? that is such a bizarre thing to say to someone.

Wit of the staircase, "And if I was the daughter of a mobster, you'd be wearing concrete boots for thinking you got to speak to me like that, about that, or dictate jack shit with my health."

people suck.

gotta love major abdominal surgery being considered the easy way lol

i have had two csections. i labored for 53 hours with my first, so when my doctor suggested i could try for vaginal birth the second time i said no thanks, i do not need to go through that again. i have my moments of something like jealousy when i hear of "easy" or quick vaginal birth, but in the end i did the right thing for me and my children.

Yes I was induced with my first and after 24 hours of laboring with not much movement I had to have an emergency c-section that was traumatic and ended in me missing the first 10 hours of my daughter’s life because I was unconscious.

When I had my second I chose a scheduled c-section because the idea of laboring only to end with an emergency cs sent me into a panic. The scheduled c-section was AMAZING and so much better than the first.

Now I always hop in to posts about c-sections ready to shut down the shamers and support the poster that it can be the right choice.

I'm curious, C-sections of course have their own issues, but does a C-section destroy your pelvic floor less than a vaginal birth? I am not planning to have kids but endo has had me in pelvic PT for a few months and it has been really mentally rough having those issues that are constant and you need to fix, but also, you can't really talk about them.

I know just being pregnant can weaken your pelvic floor but having had a c section myself, I haven't really noticed anything major regarding my pelvic floor.

I’ve had 2 c sections by choice and like the commenter above said the weight of pregnancy can still impact your pelvic muscles (mine are fine) but apparently having a 3rd c section really increases risk of injury to your bladder as I was warned when I had my 2nd that if I wanted a 3rd baby I should consider a natural birth.

My friends mum has had 4 sections and has crazy bladder issues.

A lot less tbh. Pregnancy doesn’t always have zero effect but when a pelvic floor is substantially affected postnatally it’s the “squeezing out an 8lb human” that accounts for >>90% of it.
