climate change is def terrifying and it’s absolutely shameful that we’re literally killing ourselves and everything around us and the world doesn’t seem to care

My country (Australia) has one of the worst track records on climate change for a developed country and it's just heartbreaking and frustrating. 3 billion animals died in summer bushfires in 2019/2020 and nothing has changed.

It makes me so angry I could scream. We’re experiencing-and will continue to-some the worst consequences of climate change and we’re just sitting here like lobsters in a pot waiting to boil.

“I wish people actually gave a shit about global warming, because I feel like I’m the only one.“

Girl bye.

"I hate it. I dread it. I wish people actually gave a shit about global warming, because I feel like I’m the only one. "

Oh honey haha.

You haven't done enough for climate change to say this....

this made me like her a lot, her comments are on point. She's not saying she is the only one who cares about climate change, just that that's how she feels like, which isn't surprising given that she's a teen and probably doesn't run in the greenest circle or found likeminded ties yet. and even if she had that wouldn't necessarily give her hope, it's quite common for teens to be comparatively more depressed about climate change and "adult" inaction about it because they haven't learned to be cynical yet, and also have more at stake.

says she is "obviously not happy" with her body but then wonders why society cares at all. I want to shout this from the rooftops. Relatedly, it's been great to see ONTD change throughout the years but "beauty posts" still make me wince.

Yeah, I feel like a lot of people her age probably feel as though they are the only ones who care. And why wouldn't they, look at how society insists on pushing forward even when it's clear that our current system is so fucking broken.
