Supergirl Brings Back Major Characters for Series Finale

Jul 31, 2021 07:02

The CW's Supergirl may be ending, but that doesn't mean they can't throw a heck of a praty on the way out the door. In spite of scheduling, COVID, and all the other things that might stand in the way, the Arrowverse's first Kryptonian will be welcoming back...

I feel so bad for this show. They got completely and totally screwed over in Crisis and everything retconned for the Superman show.

Then, they flew a whole buncha people up into Canada who shouldn't have been there. If they had just postponed filming a couple of months more they wouldn't have to put the cast and crew at risk, they wouldn't have had to force the actors to try to screw with the heads of fans with manipulative social media posts, and they wouldn't be insulting the lead of their own show in the final season by having her be absent from a third of the episodes because she had a child. Just the levels of how much the higher ups don't care is sad.

Marrying the star of the show certainly helps a bad character who shouldn't have stuck around stick around, doesn't it?

I'll miss Supergirl.

One of my big gripes with Supes and Lois is that there hasn't been a SINGLE mention of Kara in any episode. It's like they actively try not to connect this show to Supergirl and as someone who loves continuity, that annoys me.

It's super annoying. I just want mention, that's all.

They try to use COVID as an excuse when it hasn't stopped any show from doing crossovers. Especially when they shoot on the same lots.

This is so annoying, especially with the Edge stuff and them going "I wasn't the only one!!!!11" uhhh yeah, because Kara was there too???

Should have started out with Mehcad, I don't care for the beige twin-set.

I'm sad that Supergirl never reached the potential it jad to be truly great. The writers tend to get way to PSA/After school lesson that it's male counterparts never had to deal with (though Flash is at that level now)

Agreed. The cast is insanely talented, particularly Benoist and Leigh, but the writing is just sad.

I still think it was a huge mistake to shackle Supergirl to the Luthor crap, no matter how well received John Cryor's portrayal of Lex was initially. Three seasons is just way too much for a character who in the end isn't interesting enough.

Agreed. It was cool to see Lex pop up in but they wore out his welcome real fast. There were plenty of villains they could've used as big bads.

And i still hate what they did with M'gann character/storyline.
