I hate that people made him feel inferior to his peers. I don't find him super good-looking (he's not ugly!) but there's something about him that's really attractive. He's talented, charismatic, and I always laugh when I remember him whispering to Judi Dench on Graham Norton.
he's not tho like he looks good with longer hair and a beard but he's tall and lanky and has a great personality so i definitely would but he's not a great looking guy esp when he shaves - make up for men!
Honestly Dev, it wasn't your fault that The Last Airbender was a mess. Regardless of who was cast, it was going to be a terrible movie. I feel bad for how he felt with people listing him so low while he was on Skins. He didn't even deserve that. I do wonder what roles he turned down as well.
Aww I feel sorry for him feeling he wasn't considered the most attractive of the skins 1 gen. I'll admit I thought he was dorky looking back then but he got that beard and glowwwweddd up!!
Yeah ngl I never thought he was cute on skins, but man did he have a glow up. He’s now the hottest of them all. 🥵
Tbh I always thought the show did Anwar dirty, he had to share “his” ep in the first series with Maxxie and didn’t even get an ep of his own in series two! They just never focused on him and developed him the way they did every other gen 1 character.
Even Maxxie got shafted after the first 2 eps of season 2. As a diehard Skins fan so much of my brain is just REVISION lmao like how would I have done this differently. I even have dreams about it sometimes 🙈🙈🙈
"...and you’re like, 'I don’t know what I have to offer in this space.'" oof it hurts. I hope this feeling becomes less and less significant as he continues in his career. He deserves good things.
Aaaalso heeey guess where I just got back from.[Spoiler (click to open)] I guess I was today years old when I found out it's not pronounced "Guh-wane"? Or was the film using another, equally legitimate, variation?
I liked it! I avoided getting too cerebral about it and enjoyed the ride. It's moody, atmospheric, gorgeous to look at. It's hard to explain, but I think it wondefully captures this weird kind of... hauntingly magical quality of these kinds of tales, the mood and imagery they inspire.
Ngl tho, at some points it was unintentionally funny, and there were some scenes that were a little too much. The few of us in the theater couldn't help but laugh.
Overall I really liked it, but I can see how some may not. Most of my audience was "...well, that was something," as they left.
