None of this should be surprising. They will settle. She will get a top up on her salary.

I wonder how much she would have made if this were released theatrically during a pandemic? Honestly, I feel she would have been fucked over either way.

I think she would have more but this movie (that I really enjoyed tbf) was released waaaaaay too late in the MCU timeline for it to have the impact it should have.

F9 has grossed $600M so far, so around that much.

I don’t like having to defend this tree but the article did say she tried to reach out to both Marvel and Disney to renegotiate and they didn’t respond to her. For the longest while a lot of MCU fans never thought they’d cave and release this on Disney+ so I wonder if they’ll just settle with her. She’s also risking a lot taking legal action against Disney so we’ll see what happens and if this will have any impact for future roles.

True and it shouldn’t since Disney is potentially at fault for breach of contract but she’s a woman and this industry doesn’t have a great track record, people are petty af tbh

Yeah, they're treating her the same way they've been treating the writers they're not paying royalties to because they don't want to honor the contracts of companies they bought, so it's good that *someone* high-profile and with the funds is taking action against them
