I never saw the first film version, but I have to imagine it was better than “The Country Bears,” which I also did not see. They’re clearly hoping everything will turn out to be the next “Pirates if the Caribbean.” I thought the first three were great, the fourth should not be mentioned, and the fifth was okay- there was clearly an audience for all of them, even though Johnny Depp was painful in the fifth.
