All the racism he and Michelle, especially, endured really distracted me from how terrible his policies were. Mess

You can even see it here: people acting like them experiencing racism somehow makes his legacy more complicated than it is. The gag is to this day Obama shows more allegiance to the terrible state and politicians that people claim made him inaffective than he does to the people who waste breath making excuses for his murderous policies.

I have my issues with Obama, but I genuinely think that we would have never had Trump if it weren’t for the fact that a Black person occupied the most powerful office in the world and what white Republicans perceive as Black people gaining power. (PERCEIVE, not actually)

The insurrection, which was a response to the narrative that it was Black people that won the Democrats the presidency. It’s all a reaction to what they see as Black people gaining power.

The way the right talks about michelle and the daughters to this day is egregious even for them.

I'm so glad rush Limbaugh is dead

Contract with Netflix, documentary on hbo.. Wish that was me.

Not that my documentary would be about the racial history of the USA, of course. I've got more to say about cheese.

Fuck this guy. His legacy in Puerto Rico with the Fiscal Control Board he imposed has caused so much harm. Cabrón.

i replied below to the person who commented to you with info links about why boricuas are mad at him and everyone who put la Junta in place.

Yes, the racism towards him and his family was terrible, but we need to also evaluate his policies critically

I wonder how much longer it would have taken for the US to get to the point that it's currently at if Obama wasn't elected.

Mitch McConnell. The gop block. Republicans stealing elections and gerrymandering because they don’t really want a democracy where we all make comprises but they want a economic theocracy where they don’t ever have to be held accountable for their vile actions. Obama getting blamed for a bunch of white guys backing a known sex predator (Roy Moore and others) is never not going to be wild to me. Like none of it ever would have happened if Obama had just magically not been President or it would even taken longer. I doubt it.

yeah but if that person was another white man is the key question because i think the backlash to his blackness (and the vague accusations of his heritage + islamophobia, misplaced as it was) was a part in why trump became so popular
