im guessing people are mad cause they didnt think "hand-painted" meant throwing paint onto a large gathering of CDs? however, for $10 that'd seem to good to be true.

unless these CDs come with a certificate it'll be so easy for resellers to counterfeit these

I mean "hand-painted" is false advertising, but she's showing them how she's doing it right in the video. Did they order them before they knew how it was going to be done? Because it if not, no one is forcing them to spend $10.

yeah but we also live in the day and age where fans will go beyond what they can afford to spend just to feel close to their favorite artist. there are many taylor swift fans and kpop fans who drop thousands on their favorite artists every year without second thought. and yeah $10 is not a lot - and even less than the og CD but i still think art-wise throwing paint on the cds is a lazy concept and i can see why fans would still go 'lol, seriously?' about that. as someone actively involved in many music fandoms i cant think of one of them that wouldn't have the exact same reaction. pop articles/tweets also tend to make the series of events sound way more serious than they really are. i'm sure most of her fans are annoyed but also laughing

Did they order them before they knew how it was going to be done?
i was wondering that too. i can't be sure if she just dropped it or not unless there's a billie eilish fan here who keeps a close eye on her store
