Honestly she has a fantastic career and is a household name but you barely know anything about her private life (I don’t think she has social media?). That’s the dream. It’s what JLaw could have been if she wasn’t trying to be so relatable.

I think Amanda has a better career than Rachel but I like them both. I've been listening to a lot of podcast eps and youtube videos about Lindsey and while I sympathize because she's an addict she's also a raging irresponsible asshole. Trying to kidnap that kid on IG live was insane. People want her to have a comeback but I'd just rather...not.

Amanda has been working consistency but she def aims a bit higher than Rachel. I've pretty much gotten the feeling that Rachel likes her life and even career to be very lowkey.

This is evident with the facts that her first pregnancy was underwrap until the baby was born. And I've heard of people mentioning seeing her around her old hometown in Canada keeping a low profile.

I haven't watched this movie in full but this is def a case where the supporting cast is stronger than the lead character.

that's interesting about parks and rec aging better than 30 rock because honestly 30 rock is probably the funnier show (and it won more awards), but tina fey's writing has always veered into the more...asshole-ish racist territory while parks and rec is more accessible and easier to meme. also those '30 rock pulls episodeS featuring blackface' headlines. yikes.

rachel at number one is deserved and i wish she was in more movies

I recently did a rewatch of both shows and yeah, 30 rock is more laugh out loud funny but also very mean spirited. parks and rec is a lot more wholesome (minus the jerry jokes and joe biden/john mccain cameos)

It’s kind of weird that Mean Girls isn’t more mean spirited and is relatively toned down for her at that moment in time. Weekend Update was rough towards her last years at SNL with Tina and Amy making fun of famous celebs. There was one time they had Lindsay stop by Update and they made a comment about her “Mischa Barton arms” and idk I just find those last two Tina Fey-era Lindsay shows weird

I can't remember exactly when I rewatched 30 rock but I think it was a couple of years ago. And there are one liners throughout the show that are hilarious, but on the whole it's so uncomfortable to go back and watch.

Parks and rec is naively optimistic but I feel like the main humor from parks and rec that hasn't aged well is all the jokes in the last season about it being set in 2017 (which was "the future" at the time). There are actors on the show whose faces I prefer not to see on my screen anymore but very little of the writing is yikes in retrospect compared to 30 rock or unbreakable kimmy schmidt.
