I would just like to know if Aaron plans to play another year with the Packers. My family (lifelong Packers fans, including my 91 year old grandpa) are at the point where they’re saying “F*** him” if he doesn’t come back. But I would definitely like him to come back. No offense to Jordan Love but there is no way he can match up to Rodgers and Favre and I’m not quite ready to be a team with a mediocre QB right now. Yes, I know I’ve been spoiled… and I just want to enjoy it for a little bit longer.
I feel like all signs point to him returning because, frankly, there aren't any teams in the market for a QB that have enough room in their salary cap for him. If he is really dragging it out to fuck with the org, I can definitely understand given what he's been through (well, kinda...), but that's a lot of loyalty to throw away from the fans.
I used to be meh on her but she’s grown on me because she’s so out there. She also says things that are totally bonkers and that I can disagree with but I’ve never read anything or heard her say anything that was incredibly offensive, racist, sexist, etc - so there’s that. In other words, let her be and let her eat clay. 😂
I laugh when I read these stories because maybe I know literally two strong, empowered females out of all of my friends and myself included.
That sounds depressing as fuck tbh. Pretty much all my girlfriends are badass women I strongly admire. Surely we all have our flaws and weaknesses but they're all very empowered women whether they're being badass professionals, super smart/fun people or great moms. I think it's odd that she listed those ~messy things as if being empowered means you can't be any of those as well.
I don't think she meant that her friends are weak or aren't people worth admiring. I think she was talking about the stereotype of a strong, powerful woman in movies/TV shows. Most female characters are still written by men and what they think a powerful woman means.
But women are also portrayed as literally all those things she listed as well so I think it's an odd choice of words at the very least. The portrayal of strong, empowered women has never stopped different portrayals of women from existing and it seems she has a very obvious/narrow idea of what empowerment means. But mostly I think it's weird to say you know so few empowered women, when most times all you have to do is pay attention and you'll see how many of them are around.
I don't think she meant it literally, she probably reads a lot of scripts, where women are portrayed unrealistically and stereotypically (e.g. a strong/powerful woman has no emotions) and was referring to those women. That's how I interpreted it at least.
