I don't really follow what goes on at Cannes, but is this common/uncommon? If you're showing at a festival it seems like you should follow the custom/protocol and do the press conference regardless of whether a scumbag is associated with your project or not - face up to it if you're complicit or just leave and don't show there.
I don't think it's common! I pay a little attention, not like... Perfect attention but I don't remember off the top of my head this happening in recent years
privilege: being able to tune out of press bc you don’t want to confront the fact that your friend/business partner/sponsor is an abusive piece of shit
doubt people will come after him the same way people came after Naomi Osaka tho, calling him ungrateful for not doing press he’s probably obligated to do 🌝
yes of course how could I forget that white artistes like adam driver and Wes here are allowed to do and act in whatever ways they need to to protect their mental health/rep while the common highly skilled athletes like marshawn lynch and naomi just have to shut up and take it, usually with financial consequences 🙃
Abused (mentally and physically) his assistants for years, including pushing one out of a moving car. The celebs he worked with in the vast majority of cases knew this but continued to work with him.
Thank you, but I've used up all of my free Vulture articles, lol. I should just get a subscription. I read the link below and OMG, what a horrible human being. No wonder he's always on Indeed, looking for staff. I have a working theory that if you see jobs that normally don't have a lot of turnover advertised over and over again for a certain company that's usually a sign that someone in upper management is a dick, and I've yet to be wrong.
If you open it in an incognito window it normally works. Vulture might also be one of the sites where if you type it as vulture.com./ (include that period before the /) it will let you in.
