I watched it. It was okay. I loved all the women in lead roles. The story felt super straight-forward to me, though. Like it needed more layers, a better defined subplot/B-story. The end credit teaser intrigued me, though. It made me excited for possibilities that'll probably never come to fruition (though more likely than a fleshed out LGBTQ+ character whose sexuality isn't 30 seconds of easily removable remark/display).

So it's gonna fall short of $100m, but that's still pretty damn good box office for where we're at, plus they get 100% of the premier access receipts. I bet they're making a ton of money from that alone.

Yeah, i dont think this is considered a so-so debut by any means. Worldwide is doing A LOT on D+. And we're still in the woods, the pandemic is not over even if vaccination are halfway through, so i'd take 90M in the first weekend like a big win.

I liked it. I don't think the villain was that compelling, but i'm used to that from Marvel movies.

Tree was great, and i was kinda sad this is the last time we'll get to see her, but also here for Yelena killing Hawkeye. Set us free of Renner now.

Also, i need to know A LOT more of Valentina and her endgame.

The villain in this was not the most interesting character by any means, but I thought that (unlike a lot of other Marvel villains) he was actually used in a way that was thematically compelling.

I don’t think Yelena will kill Hawkeye but I think he’ll die tho? Or just go away. Either way. The Hawkeye series is Renner’s final jaunt as the character.

I think the pandemic actually helped this film. Before there wasn’t a ton of buzz around it and people were definitely complaining more about marvel. Now it’s been almost two years since a marvel movie in theaters and people are way more thirsty for ~spectacle. I’m marvel trash so I was always gonna see it lol but in a covid free world I wonder if it would have flopped by marvel standards
