I dont doubt that Tom is a fucking weirdo, overzealous and a little cray but I do think he's genuinely a good person... i dont think anyone has ever had anything bad to say about him other than he's just A LOT.

I think the TSwift era broke his brain. He was so private before than his weirdness didn't really come out (or it fit in the Marvel realm) then the campaign for Bond and him being the next action guy with the Kong movie and the summer of Swift.... I'm glad he went back into the dark and just is doing whatever he's doing now

yeah i'll take his overearnestness, slight desperation and cringe over most of the genuine arseholes in hollywood. most ppl who's work with on every level say what a decent person he is

Yeah I haven’t heard stories about him being an asshole to people or being difficult to work with.

I have many friends who were extras and who worked on some MCU stuff with him, and they all loved him. Plenty of the MCU actors would hang out in our city (they filmed several movies here) and there were always good stories about him, Scarlett and CEvans at various establishments. (Scarlett and Evans loved our dive bars and crunchy hippie coffee shops, and Tom was just...everywhere.)

As a non stan the tank top TRULY colored the lens I viewed him through for a WHILE LOL

1 - Do you think the tank top/hiddleswift really derailed him for a while?

2 - Has he recovered now effectively?

I'm a lowercase F Tom fan (and, admittedly, an utter Taylor-hater), and the tank top absolutely rendered him unfuckable to me for years. I think he has the capacity to recover (he is a white dude, after all), but I don't think he'll ever reach a higher height or better career than what the character of Loki can give/has given him.

He seems like a giant drama nerd, who blew up in an unexpected way. Instead of going back into his London drama nerd hole, and doing things he wanted to do (much like David Tennant did after DW), he had that bizarre heavy handed weekend relationship with Taylor.

I think the Loki show will bring back some of the fan girls, but the days of him being the internet’s boyfriend are long gone.

I do think he’ll never have to internet bf status post Hiddleswift and I’m sure that actively detailed his career (and probably his psyche) for a few years. But I think he’s beginning to professionally get back on his feet with the Loki show and the interviews he gives now seems to make him look like he’s in a better mental state.
