Yes, Pride month is over and corporations are already thinking on 4th of July, but there was some nice stuff. Disney released it's first LGBTQI+ Celebration Spectacular: 'This is Me'.

Hosted by Blue's Clues Pride Parade host, Nina West and Kermit the Frog, the concert features many special performances and appearances:

lgbtq film / media, lgbtq / rights, disney, high school musical (disney), marvel, muppets / jim henson

Aw this is really cool, aside from the Todrick inclusion ofc. Good for Disney for doing something (seemingly) genuine re: the LGBTQI+ community for once

Definitely cute, but also rme @ Disney always doing the absolute least re: LGBTQ stuff in their actual movies & shows.

I truly do hate most corporation Pride stuff but this stuff geared towards kids makes me so happy. I’m a bi mom with a non-binary teenager and it makes us both so happy to have queer stuff that we can watch with my 3yo.

We already have a lot of queer picture books but it’s important to have this sort of representation in other forms of media too.
