is it really that weird that i don’t want to see a sexual harasser crowned winner, and all the pomp and circumstance celebrating him? especially since the allegations came out earler this year too

I just finished the episode and was shocked Shoda was not the winner.

Same, Shota had the winner edit the entire season and then I was like wait, Gabe won because he slayed a mole for the billionth time?

i love shota but i don’t think it’s fair (as much as a POS) that he is to just say gabe slayed moles. all his moles were different and it’s like other chefs making different sauces

that hurts me to say because again he’s an awful person

It's too bad Shota screwed up his rice. I feel like they really wanted to give it to him but you can't give Top Chef to the guy who made crunchy rice.

Unfortunately he did cook the best/most consistent meal 😔. They should've edited him out a la drag race

Dawn did not deserve to win. She was lucky to reach the finale after she sent out plates with missing components multiple times.

Shota was the only deserving winner

"Not deserve" is kind of harsh. Dawn won a few quick fires and elimination rounds, the taste of her food and her plating style were never an issue. Her issue was time management and being a bit disorganized.

I never understood why she didn't literally write a checklist and tape it up above wherever she was going to be doing her plating, so she didn't forget anything. If you know you need 5 elements on the plate, list them, check the list. It's not rocket science.

Shota was sloppy in other ways, it doesn't make him any more deserving. He had time management issues on his rice and on choosing to make his dish less "fine dining" than a finale should be. Personally, I'd rather eat everything on Dawn's plate than crunchy rice.

I really enjoyed this season and felt like it had the least douchey set of chefs in a long time. I watched the finale, and then saw this horrible news and wanted to scream with rage. What a sack of garbage and how shitty is Bravo for giving him the "Family" edit where he goes on and on about how much he just loves his wife and kids when they had to know by the time they edited the show that he's horrid scum. Shota should have won anyway ( ... )
