Yep. It's always, "But his legacy!" Never anything about the women who continue from be traumatized by seeing their and other women's attackers go free.

There are so many excuses for rapists/attempted rapists/other abusers. I think about how some people talk about the guy who tried to rape me and then sexually harassed me after (and I didn't even report it)- if him graduating and having a career were so goddamn important, maybe he shouldn't have tried to rape me or sexually harass me. What about my career, my research, let alone my well-being? What about the legacies of the women Cosby harmed? They don't get the opportunity to build theirs, let alone again their right to be traumatized.
