I'm confused about the bit about butter.

Does that just mean their fans are buying it instead of streaming it?

I think there was something about how fans were streaming, but thought that Spotify was not recording their streams?

What’s their methodology behind that?? Do they cancel them if they think someone is just repeating it on loop 24/7 or if they suspect VPN involvement?why on earth would they just cancel streams?

Interestingly, BTS's "Butter," the song currently beating her on the Billboard Hot 100 for the past several weeks, is not even in the Top 40 of US Spotify.

I don’t get Tyler the Creators popularity. There are much better artists out there with a similar sound. And his lyrics…..yikes. That song Billie got dragged for singing along to was something.

Butter also isn’t even in the top 100 on Apple Music for the US but it is at 14 on their Global chart.

Ed Sheehan is @ 57 on the US chart on AM. Wow!

Tbh I think a lot of Sheeran’s success comes from his appeal to older demographics on adult contemporary radio stations. His new song has a much different sound and I’m not sure it will have the wide appeal that his past stuff has.

I agree with you 100%! I actually somewhat like the new song, despite how dated it sounds, but I am not his core demo so I wouldn’t be surprised if his core didn’t care for this.

Bad Habits grew on me but I’m surprised it’s underwhelming on the charts. I wanna know his process when deciding on going for that EDM sound. 🤔

It’s not bad, but it needed a better chorus. Like most songs these days, it just go anywhere. I love songs where there is an unexpected hook
